ACTIVITIES REPORT 2020
PERUVIAN ASSOCIATION ORDER OF MALTA

Due to the COVID pandemic, our visits to several places were limited, nevertheless, we were able to help vulnerable people in some locations during the year 2020.

FEBRUARY 2020
Donation of 30 hospital beds for the ICU in the Navy Hospital. This donation was organized by our Ambassador in Peru Fabrizio Vinaccia.

APRIL AND MAY 2020
Distribution of food for people in a slums in Ate, Vitarte, outside Lima, supporting many families with the help of members of the Order, volunteers and Malteser Perú

Distribution of food, used clothes, cookware etc.to people in Manchay, outside Lima, where our Chaplain, Father Jean Pierre Teullet is helping people in a kitchen soup, a nursing home and distributing food directly to the families.

OCTOBER 2020
Donation of medicine and first aid products, so as cookware and used clothes for the people in Manchay. In this occasion we gave the donation to the parish priest in Manchay.

DECEMBER 2020

Donation of food, used closed and toys for the children in Manchay, helping more than 30 families.

Donation of an industrial stove, an industrial mixer and an industrial vacuum cleaner for a soup kitchen in Villa Libertad, Carapongo, where Priest Pedro Sotomayor from The Comunity Pro Ecclesia Sancta has built a Little church and a kitchen soup so as a first aid topic.

The Peruvian government closed churches during the year 2020 until December 2020, but we could attend our monthly masses via Zoom since June 2020, celebrated by our Chaplain Jean Pierre Teullet and Priest Guillermo Leguía.

We have also organized conferences via Zoom about different themes concerning defense of Faith with specific subjects such as:
“How to address the cultural progressivism in current times from a Christian approach”
“Abortion: A human right in cases of violations”
“Catholic church in times of moral relativity in society and in the media.”
These conferences were held by our Chaplain with the coordination of our volunteers, during August and September 2020.
